Dining on campus isn’t one size fits all. Our meal plans were designed to meet your unique needs. If you are looking to enjoy a meal with friends or just a snack on the go – we’ve got a plan to fit every appetite.

Meal Plan Options for Spring 2020

  • Spring meal plans begin on Sunday, January 5th, 2020 with dinner
  • First time entering freshmen (regardless of credit hours) and transfer students classified as freshmen upon acceptance by Admissions, who live in campus housing, are required to purchase a qualifying College of Charleston Freshmen Resident Plan. These meal plan options can be found here
  • Upperclassmen and Commuters who would like to purchase a meal plan can choose from eight different options. These meal plan options can be found at here

Meal Plan Sign Up 

  • Students can sign up for a meal plan and/or change their meal plan selection for Spring 2020 via the MyHousing/MyDining portal on MyCharleston November 1st through January 1st, 2020 Click here to sign up
  • From January 2nd through January 15th, 2020, students who wish to sign up for a meal plan and/or change their meal plan selection will need to visit Cougar Card Services or email their request to cougarcard@cofc.edu
  • The deadline for meal plan changes and cancellations for Spring 2020 is Wednesday, January 15th at 5:00 p.m
  • Meal plans can still be purchased after January 15th in Cougar Card Services but can no longer be charged to the student bill and must be paid for at the time of purchase with cash, check, or any major credit card
  • Agreement to the Terms and Conditions for Meal Plans is part of the sign up process on the portal.  Should you wish to review the terms in advance they can be found here

 

Meal Plan 101

Meal Swipes

  • Meal Swipes provide you full access into a dining hall or provide a full meal solution at Marty’s Place or Market 159

Where To Use

  • Dining Hall Locations 
  • Liberty Fresh Food Co. and City Bistro, present your Cougar Card to the cashier upon entry.  They will use a meal swipe which gives you full access to the entire menu
  • Dine in or take it To-Go!
  • Marty’s Place
  • Use a Meal Swipe for any entrée, side and drink
  • Market 159
  • Use a Meal Swipe for select Grab and Go combos

 

Maroon Meals

  • Maroon Meals (MM) are combo meal swipes accepted at the following locations: 
    • Einstein Bros Bagels, Olilo, Boar’s Head Deli, and Taco Del Seoul inside Stern Center Food Court
  • Maroon Meals are an exclusive part of All Access Diamond and All Access Meal Plans and include 7 per week, which restart every Saturday

Dining Dollars

  • You can use your Dining Dollars at any dining location on campus
  • List of all locations here
  • Dining Dollars roll over until Graduation

 

Adding Dining Dollars

  • To add Dining Dollars a students may deposit funds using the eBill system
  • Electronic checks and all major credit cards may be used
  • Deposits are not subject to a convenience fee and will be available within two hours
  1. Access your eBill through MyCharleston
  2. Click on the Academic Services tab then open the eBill link
  3. The eBill will open in a new window, maximize the window to be able to see all options
  4. Go to the Deposits tab, select the term and Dining Dollars
  5. Enter the amount and preferred payment method
  6. Confirm to process

 

How To Request A Dining Dollars Refund

Unused Dining Dollars carry over to the next semester and remain on the deposit until graduation or separation from the College. Cougar Card Services will refund the Dining Dollar account balance after receipt of a written request (Dining Dollar Refund Form) from students who are graduating or separating from the College. Upon completion of the proper paperwork, Cougar Card Services will be notified by the Center for Academic Performance and Persistence for those students taking a leave of absence or withdrawing from the College. No refunds will be issued for account balances less than $10. Refunds will be issued via direct deposit if an account is set up with the Treasurer’s Office. If direct deposit is not set up, a check will be mailed to the primary address on file or as stated in the request. The College of Charleston reserves the right to close any account that is inactive for 18 months or more. Balances in accounts that are inactive for more than 18 months will be reclaimed.

Meal plans are convenient, flexible, and loaded with options.
Freshmen Resident Meal Plans
First time resident freshmen, regardless of credit hours, and transfer students who have not completed a full year at another institution must select from one of the plans.
Upperclassmen Resident and Commuter Meal Plans
Freshmen students living off campus, and upperclassmen students living on or off campus may choose from any meal plan.
Faculty and Staff Plans
The Faculty & Staff Plan provides 25 meals to use on campus at Liberty Fresh Food Co., City Bistro, Marty's Place or on select Sandwich/Salad Combos at Market 159.
