Jason Sisson


Jason worked for various restaurants and catering groups in San Francisco before relocating to Charleston! He has been a chef at College of Charleston Dining Services since 2009, but has been working on campus since 2007. Before becoming the Catering Chef, he was the chef for a local restaurant group that opened the Noisy Oyster and RB’s restaurants. The thing that Jason loves most about his job is the creation; from constructing unique menus and cooking in on-site kitchens to collaborating with his staff to incorporate their ideas into his finished products.

Claire Sussman


Claire relocated to Charleston in 2013 from Washington, DC for a 'change of pace'. She joined out staff in the Fall Semester of 2014 originally as our Supervisor and has recently transitioned to her new role as one of our Catering Manager. She has worked in hospitality for over ten years with experience in many facets from restaurants, to hotel sales, and of course, catering and events!

Abigail Showalter


Originally from central Pennsylvania, Abigail has been with the Catering Staff since January of 2016. Abigail brings over 15 years of event management experience to the role. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Davidson College and a Master of Music in Voice Performance and Pedagogy degree from Pennsylvania State University.
